Surrounded with mountains and woods, make this forest cool and calm. Along with this the babbles of the stream makes the environment melodious. This picnic spot is “Koile Ghoghar’ of Lakhanpur block at Jharsuguda district. While going through Jharsuguda – Raipur NH 200 one can access to Govindpur, from there take left upto 6 km. A small river “Adhiraj” has flown through the jungle of “Chuikhancha” which met at Mahanadi. Near this there is a Lord Shiva temple and waterfall.

To attract the tourist Koeli Ghoghara have treasured lot of things living beings like monkey and fishes have always attracted the tourists to frequent it. Tourists say that there is a different charm in feeling the fishes of the river. The most amazing part is touching of “Jyotir Ling” while dipping inside the water. According to beliefs person having strong faith and devotion could touch the “Jyotir Ling’s” soon or vice-versa. It is said that long time back a person saw a Jyotir Ling on the river bed during summers, and gradually people started to worship it. By the passage of time it is as “Maheshwar Nath”. In later period a temple was constructed and worshipping is done in due rituals.
